Preface

You think you have time in the palm of your hand and suddenly, right before your eyes, it fleets away. Everything goes so smoothly up until then, no worries cross your mind. Life is perfect; you've finally found yourself and your correct place in the world. This is where you want to be. You seem to be so in control of your future, so sure of what waits ahead, yet you take the wrong turn and you find yourself lost. What's to be done when one's found in this situation? What you're accustomed to abruptly disappears.  No familiar face is there to help you, to guide you or to tell you what's wrong and right. You're left by yourself to make decisions that you just don't know how to make.

Should you try to find a way out? Or simply run and trust your instincts to take you to safety? You're blinded, you're alone and you're inevitably doomed. The only option left is to fight, fight for your last opportunity to make it out alive. I knew they were coming to get me, and it was only a matter of minutes until they reached me; the end was so near I could taste it on the tip of my tongue. I wasn't ready to go, I didn't want to. So why, why?  Why couldn't I manage to make my legs move?
